how i got started.

I've always had animals in my life. I grew up in a house filled with guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, lizards, toads, newts, goldfish, and way too many cats to count. The stand out pet of my childhood was our beloved Blue Healer, Shock. My dad brought him home after persistent begging for a dog from yours truly (Shock got his name from my mother, who was “so shocked” when Dad brought him home without telling even her!). I've always had a deep affinity for dogs - as a toddler I was often found walking around on my hands and knees pretending to be one.

My love of dogs has not diminished with time. A few years back, I started helping out with my friends' pets - dog sitting here or there, doing check ins, taking dogs out on walks, helping take care of cats, etc. It was the beginning of my realization of what I wanted to do as a career.

MY experience.

Since I started helping out my friends, I've expanded my business quite a lot. I started regular part time work with dogs in May of 2016, then moved to full time work in September of 2016.

I have over seven years of experience working with animals in Portland - particularly dogs and cats. Using means such as Nextdoor Neighbor, Wag, Rover, and word of mouth, I've expanded my clientele base from just friends to many regular reoccurring clients.

I am now experienced in walking multiple dogs at once, giving medication to pets (pills, shots, inhalers, etc.), dealing with any kind of harness and leash, coaxing nervous animals, and so on.

So why go with me?

Besides my experience and vast love of dogs, cats, and animals of all kind, I offer a great many reasons as to why clients love using my services.

I live in a big house with a nice, fenced backyard, perfect for letting dogs run around and explore. I also make sure dogs whom I board, house sit, or do day care with go on plenty of walks when they are in my care. I own a car, making travel to your pet not an issue, and I will even use my car to take dogs to the dog park if and when time (and weather!) permits. I'm insured with Pet Care Insurance, so you know your canine is in safe hands when they are with me.

As a pet care provider, I strive to be the best that I can be. I am punctual, passionate, and patient when it comes to taking care of your dog. What's more, I am as communicative as possible. I can send as many text updates and pictures as you'd like, being either descriptive or brief - depending on your preference. I'm also quick to respond and will do my best to message or call you back as soon as you reach out.
